Quality Improvement
Our vision is to be a health and care partnership working for a better quality of life in a thriving mid and south Essex, with every resident making informed choices in a strengthened health and care system.
The vision is being delivered at individual, neighbourhood, place and system level and one of the key enablers are the employees of each of the partner organisations.
Through improving our own capability and skills we will help deliver more targeted and effective services to the communities we serve. Therefore, as a system we are recommending an e-learning Quality Improvement training programme, from the Improvement Academy. This is a certificated course available to all employees who work in any health, care or CVS organisation across mid and south Essex.
Introduction to QI - Bronze level
The first course is the Bronze-level e-learning training that focuses on quality improvement and includes a broad spectrum of foundation knowledge, to more detailed descriptions of some of the tools for improvement and how they can be used. This can be a ‘stand-alone’ module that every employee in a partner organisation could complete, or could be your first step to more advanced QI training .
Watch this video to give you more idea about the course.
Content of the Bronze QI Training
A key objective of the training is to help participants understand how and why everyone has a role to play and can contribute to Quality Improvement in their work area.
Module 1: Introduction to Quality Improvement Training (5 mins)
Module 2: Quality Improvement in Yorkshire and Humber (30 mins)
Module 3: How can I improve patient care? (30 mins)
Module 4: Your Model for Improvement (30 mins)
Modules 2, 3 and 4 end with a short quiz and the final module is followed by a short evaluation questionnaire. On completion of ALL of the modules, a certificate of completion can be printed off. A User Guide is also available although site navigation is explained throughout.
The course gives you a certificate once you complete it. You can print it and share it with your manager.
